Re: An OccupyDMV Hello
Josh here, from Occupy Richmond. Kanawha Plaza is certainly holding firm, and although we are only just over 1.5 weeks young, we've got tons of program every day through workshops, seminars, and various demonstrations.
This Saturday, we would love to host the local occupations in a Solidarity Rally. Within 3 blocks we've got one of the 12 Federal Reserves, huge regional centers for Bank of America, Suntrust, Dominion Power, Williams Mullen, Wells Fargo, and assorted other egregiously corrupt entities. Likewise, Richmond is home to Eric Cantor (the filthiest of scum) and Bob McDonnell (only slightly less pathogenic). Oh—we've also got lots of room for tents.
Friday night will have multiple workshops and music performances, Saturday morning we will rally, and the afternoon will present many more opportunities to interact and learn.
We want y'all here with us!
Feel free to give me a call if you have any questions, want some input on activities, or plan to join us In Solidarity against tangible societal atrocities.
Strength and Solidarity,
